  and Carbon Literacy training course provides a cl
 ear understanding of climate science\, an awarenes

 ing course is accredited by the Carbon Literacy Pr
 oject. It will take you concisely through the scie
 nce of climate change\, causes\, impacts and solut

 lly\, and how you can get involved.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;T
 he course presents you with a&nbsp\;usable&nbsp\;f
 ramework for understanding the climate&nbsp\;emerg
 ency\, how soon we need to act\, the scale of that
  action\, and&nbsp\;what part individuals&nbsp\;an
 d organisations&nbsp\;in Cumbria&nbsp\;can play in
  the bigger picture.</big></p>\n \n <p><big>You wi
 ll leave this session more confident in your knowl
 edge\, better able to articulate what needs to be 
 done\, and with an increased sense of agency aroun
 d your ability to be part of that change.&nbsp\;Yo
 u will also leave with the ability to&nbsp\;begin

 velop&nbsp\;training sessions for others\, if you

DESCRIPTION:This is a full day course split over two afternoon

 active Climate and Carbon Literacy training course
  provides a clear understanding of climate science
 \, an awareness of carbon costs and the impacts of

 l basis and is a great way to meet like minded peo
 ple. \n \n \n \n Our inspiring\, informative and i
 nteractive training course is accredited by the Ca
 rbon Literacy Project. It will take you concisely 
 through the science of climate change\, causes\, i
 mpacts and solutions. It covers the global\, UK an
 d Cumbria picture\, as well as highlighting what i
 s happening locally\, and how you can get involved
 .  The course presents you with a usable framework
  for understanding the climate emergency\, how soo
 n we need to act\, the scale of that action\, and 
 what part individuals and organisations in Cumbria
  can play in the bigger picture.\n \n \n \n You wi
 ll leave this session more confident in your knowl
 edge\, better able to articulate what needs to be 
 done\, and with an increased sense of agency aroun
 d your ability to be part of that change. You will
  also leave with the ability to begin to develop y
 our own action plans\, and to develop training ses

 \n Delegates who complete the training course can 
 become certified as 'Carbon Literate' after the co
 urse by submitting an evidence form. This involves
  pledging to carry out emission reduction actions

 s. Climate Fresk provides a strong foundation in c
 limate science\, helping staff build confidence in
  discussing climate change and supporting sustaina

 p>Using 42 cards based directly on the latest repo
 rts from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Ch
 ange (IPCC)\, participants work together to map th
 e causes and consequences of climate change. Guide
 d by an experienced facilitator\, groups explore t
 he connections\, feedback loops and impacts within
  the climate system through discussion\, collabora
 tion and problem-solving.</p>\n \n <p>The workshop
  is accessible to people from all backgrounds and
